Blue Mountain Travel was first founded by Mr. Sunder Pandey in 1992. Mr. Pandey was born in Nepal and has spent most of his life there. He loves nature, adventure, travel, learning about local customs and people, and working to make the life better for people that he meets whenever possible. These are the passions that motivated him to begin a travel company all those years ago. He was educated in Nepal as well the University of Japan (Bunkyo University). He is currently an advisor to the Village Tourism Promotion Forum in Nepal which works to help those Nepalese living in remote villages by encouraging tourism. Mr. Pandey is also chairman of the charitable organization, Nepal Environment, Education, and Development (NEED). NEED works to prevent deforestation, to improve sanitation, and to promote education in Nepal. It provides educational scholarships for needy people as well as generates jobs and works on other development projects. He currently resides in Florida, USA with his family and he continues to own and operate Blue Mountain Travel with offices both in Florida and in Thamel, Kathmandu, Nepal. He continues to serve the Nepali community as well as offering his services in Florida including being elected in 2008 as a member of the Board of Directors of the Pine Island Ridge Democrat Club,reelected for 2011. He is also an active member of American Red Cross. He insures that Blue Mountain Travel and his entire staff achieve the highest quality at all times.
